There are many Bible verses about joy because true joy is found in the Lord. (I can’t give you a number because I didn’t feel like counting all of them.) “The joy of the Lord is my strength” is probably the most well known verse on the subject, but there are so many others. I don’t know why the idea of joy resonates with me, but it does. Maybe it’s because I’m optimistic by nature.
Joy is steadfast, not capricious; it’s not at the mercy of changing emotions or situations. Joy is a deep and abiding presence that is there even when we aren’t happy. But sometimes we have to choose to find it. I hope these help.
We can be joyful in the hope of God’s promises. Hope is not the same as a wish; hope is the certainty of things to come.
This verse paints the most beautiful picture. To know God, Creator of All Things, sings over me fills me with inexpressible joy and peace.
God is always true to His promises.
God shows us the path to Him and blesses us with every good thing.
Because of His grace and mercy,
In good times and in bad, God is faithful.
Joy is a matter of the heart.
This one says it all.
