Ok, well, a Thirty-One girl isn’t really the last thing I thought I’d be; that would be more along the lines of an escargot taste-tester. But each time I thought about which business to do, I never seriously considered this company. Don’t know why, just didn’t.
About twelve years ago, I dabbled with a candle company for a few months. Hated it. There was nothing I liked about it. A couple years later, I tried a not inexpensive skin care for a year and a half or so. Never made any money. Left that for a fabulous health and wellness company in 2010. Great company, great products, but not a good fit for my personality, so after trying to do the business off and on for several years, I decided to just be a customer. Just shy of two years ago, I joined a great clothing business, but at this point in my life, I decided I didn’t want to devote the time necessary to be successful at it, so I resigned from that this week.
I had to find something to fill the gap. I didn’t want to do only my real estate business; that doesn’t have the same interaction with people like a home-based business has. I considered a “fingernail” business for about twenty seconds and then jewelry for about two minutes. The fingernail stuff just isn’t something I would use myself, and the jewelry, well, I don’t like the jewelry from a couple of them and the two companies I do like would be a different kind of work than I want to do.
So, as I was racking my brain to think of something, Thirty-One popped into my head. I love the products, all the bags, purses, jewelry, and home decor, so I checked it out. I like the amazingly low startup cost, the community of consultants, and a company that has a praise and worship event at its annual convention is right up my alley. And I can do the kind of business activities I want to do with this company because I don’t have the pressure of having to make a lot of money right away because of a huge investment. this introvert can be as successful as she pleases at on her own pace.
So once again, I’m jumping in with both feet, and I think I’m going to be very happy here.
